OUR FOUNDER!
Overdressedlocal was born from Emily Rybski’s personal love affair with vintage fashion. Weekends spent thrifting and exploring local markets with her biggest supporter—her mom—sparked a passion that quickly evolved into something more. Raised in a creative household with two older brothers pursuing music and comedy, Emily was always encouraged to express herself boldly and unapologetically. For her, fashion was the ultimate form of self-expression.
Encouraged by her mom to take the leap and sell at her first market, Emily instantly fell in love with the world of vintage from the other side of the booth—and Overdressedlocal was born.
What began as a curated collection of nostalgic, one-of-a-kind pieces has grown into a full-blown ethos. Overdressedlocal isn’t just a vintage brand—it’s a mindset. The name itself is a nod to always showing up overdressed, no matter the occasion, and owning it with pride.
Today, Emily’s mission is to grow Overdressedlocal into more than just a shop. She’s building a lifestyle brand and a community rooted in sustainability, individuality, and fearless self-expression.
